#Documentation
Welcome to Rudder Virt. Choose a topic below, or use the sidebar to find what you need.
- Getting Started — This guide is for students starting their first module. Setting up a class or authoring content? See Teaching.
- Building VM Images — This guide is for people who build modules. A module is one or more VMs built, snapshotted, and cloned as a group. You define their source images, provisioning, networking, ISOs, and files; Rudder Virt turns that definition into a reusable template.
- Working on Modules — A module is a real virtual machine (or several) loaded with a scenario for you to work through. You connect to it through your browser, drive it with your keyboard and mouse exactly like a regular desktop, and submit when you're done. There's nothing to install on your computer.
- Teaching — These guides are for instructors and organization admins.
- Grading Modules
- Deployment Zones — A deployment zone is where your virtual machines run. Each Rudder Virt organization uses one zone, where its student VMs are built, cloned, and graded.
